FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH GASTROLOGIX FOR ENTIRE ENDOSCOPY PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
Wayne, N.J., February 19, 2019 – FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of endoscopic imaging solutions, today announced a three-year, sole-source relationship with Gastrologix, the nation’s only group purchasing organization (GPO) working solely with independent gastroenterology (GI) physicians. The joint agreement delivers quality endoscopy technologies to a national network of leading GI physicians at more affordable price points.
“We appreciate the confidence Gastrologix has instilled in Fujifilm by selecting us as their exclusive vendor of choice for endoscopic imaging solutions,” says Taisuke Fujita, Executive Director and General Manager, Endoscopy, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “We are incredibly proud of our innovations, including ELUXEO® and our 700 Series Endoscopes, and we’re grateful to work with a GI-specific GPO to help get these life changing technologies into the hands of even more healthcare providers.”
Gastrologix’ mission is to help independent gastroenterology practices increase efficiencies so that they can remain independent in an increasingly challenging healthcare environment. The physician focused GPO’s overarching goal is to assist in providing solutions that make an impact at the practice level, ultimately strengthening the doctor/patient bond.
“At Gastrologix, we strive to increase efficiencies by providing our members the best value proposition for equipment, supplies and services,” says Steve Somers, Principal of Gastrologix. “After an exhaustive due diligence process, we determined Fujifilm’s endoscopic imaging solutions represent top value in both performance and price. We are proud to partner with the obvious choice for physician groups purchasing new equipment for their ASCs.”
Fujifilm’s entire endoscopy portfolio is now on contract with Gastrologix:
ELUXEO Endoscopic Visualization System: ELUXEO, comprised of Fujifilm’s 7000 Video Imaging System and 700 Series Endoscopes, features 4-LED Multi-Light Technology, which creates Blue Light Imaging (BLI) and Linked Color Imaging (LCI®) special light observation modes. The 7000 Video Imaging System has an extended lamp life expectancy of up to six years and an intuitive user interface for an enhanced experience. The 700 Series Endoscopes feature a host of advancements in comfort, efficiency, and visualization. This platform offers improved image quality in terms of sharpness and brightness, delivering optimal visual information for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in daily clinical practice.
Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD): These devices are designed for use with compatible endoscopes to aid clinicians in performing effective ESD interventions within the digestive tract. ClutchCutter® is a rotatable forceps, FlushKnife a versatile and efficient diathermic slitter, and ST Hood Short Type is intended to maintain field of view during endoscopic procedures such as mucosal resection.
Pulmonary Imaging: Fujifilm’s standard, Slim, Treatment, and Super-Image Video Bronchoscopes are designed to be lightweight, easy to maneuver, and bring superior imaging and resolution to the field of bronchoscopy. The 530 Series Bronchoscopes are equipped with ultra-small, Super CCD chip technology, dual light guides, improved tip layout and a single-use suction button.
Endoscopic Ultrasound: Fujifilm’s ultrasonic video endoscopes and bronchoscopes, coupled with the Sonart SU-1 ultrasonic processor, provide visualization of surrounding structures, allowing clinicians to see beyond the pathway and support diagnosis and determine treatment plans.
Double Balloon Endoscopy System (DBE): Engineered to unlock difficult to reach pathways within the digestive tract, Fujifilm’s DBE consists of specifically designed enteroscopes, overtubes, balloons, and a balloon-pump controller. It also requires a Fujifilm video processor and light source for clear, sharp, high-definition images with advanced imaging technology.
